FUNDRAISING CLUB

DO YOU WANT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR YOUR PROJECT?
FUNDRAISING CLUB IS HERE TO HELP!

Starting this September, and running through November, YOU can gain skills in fundraising and generating income from both statutory and private sources by attending Fundraising Club! As a partnership project between Southend Creatives, Hadleigh Old Fire Station and Metal Southend, this initiative is available to individuals living across the South East Essex area, including Southend-on-Sea, Castle Point and Rochford.

Over five sessions, you will become more proficient and confident to raise funds. Led by fundraisers who collectively have raised millions for the arts, you will learn about the four areas of fundraising: statutory, trusts/foundations, individual giving, and corporates, and how to develop strategic processes for effective fundraising. You’ll also benefit from receiving targeted, 1:1 mentoring.

By the end of the programme, you will have a completed piece of work, ready to submit for funding.

The five-session course is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis and costs a total of £50, which is significantly discounted with an estimated value of over £375. The dates for in-person sessions include:

  • Session 1: Saturday 26th September 2026, 9.30am to 1.30pm: Half-day Introduction to Fundraising Session followed by a complimentary lunch with fellow participants at Metal, Southend.
  • Session 2: Thursday 8th October 2026, 6.00pm to 9.00pm at Hadleigh Old Fire Station.

  • Session 5: Thursday 26th November 2026, 6.00pm to 9.00pm at Metal, Southend.

Additional surgery sessions will be planned as dedicated time to develop applications following these sessions, and will be subject to demand and availability of participants.
